Mr Chew Hong Gian, Head of Technology, Singapore StockExchange

Mr Chew Hong Gian heads the Technology Group and currently oversees the development of a new trading infrastructure for the securities and derivatives markets. He previously held several senior positions at the Exchange, where he was responsible for managing depository operations, marketing brokerage technology solutions and establishing an in-sourcing service. Mr Chew started his career with the National Computer Board and later joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore where he participated in a strategic review of Singapore’s fi nancial sector. Mr Chew graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor (highest honours) degree and Master degree in Computer Science. He also holds an MBA (International Business) degree from the Nanyang Business School of Singapore.

Dr Toh See Kiat, Director Goodwins Law Corporation

Dr Toh See Kiat is concurrently an Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University and Chairman of Goodwins Law Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Laws (NUS), Master of Laws (Harvard) and a PhD in Law (London). He is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, a Solicitor of England and Wales, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Besides being an accredited mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre, Dr Toh practices and conducts seminars on information technology, intellectual property, commercial and corporate law.

Mr Keith Stephenson, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers

Keith has 25 years of business experience. Of these, 10 were developed in commercial roles as Head of Financial and Business Planning on a pan-European basis with PWE, and as global Group Audit Controller with Jardine Matheson (JM) based in Hong Kong. In addition, Keith's 15 years of professional services work covered a whole spectrum of accounting, audit and business experience. These include audit services to a range of public companies, due diligence services and transaction support services in the United Kingdoms (UK). More recently in July 2000, Keith joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a partner and now heads the Asia Pacifi c Performance Improvement division. Keith is also the Asia Leader for Internal Audit Services for countries including China, India, Indo-China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Mr Philip Chong, Director,
Enterprise Risk Mgmt, Deloitte
Philip is currently Director of Deloitte's Enterprise Risk Services practice. In recent years, Philip led a number of leading edge business and risk management consultancy projects in Singapore and the region. These projects range from the design and development of e-business strategies, risk management framework and process operating models to system implementation. He has been personally involved in 20 enterprise risk management framework development and implementation. He is currently leading an R&D initiative to design and implement a technology enabling solution for enterprise risk management. The technology named Risk Integrator provides a knowledge management and workfl ow tool for the identifi cation, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and associated treatment plans. His recent project is to implement a risk-adjusted performance management framework based on RAROC concepts for a leading insurance company in the Asian region. The project encompasses the development of a risk-based business performance framework and the effi cient utilisation of economic capital. Philip has also been engaged to advise the governments in the region on the policy and regulatory impact of new electronic signature technologies and developments. Key national projects include the update of the regulatory framework for the Singapore Electronic Transaction Act and development for trusted e-signatures for Malaysia MyKad identity card.
Dr. Pallab Saha, Faculty Member, ISS Dr. Pallab Saha is a member of the faculty with the National University of Singapore. He has a Ph.D. (Engineering) in Information Systems. His current research interests include IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Management and utility of information technology in implementing business strategies and has published research papers in these areas. Prior to academics, he has held consulting positions in several large IT organizations and worked on projects for Fortune 100 companies. He is a frequent speaker at international and local conferences on topics related to business process management, enterprise architecture and strategic IT management & IT governance.
