  eLearning Seminar 2004

This eLearning Seminar 2004 is the 5th annual seminar organized by the Learning Standards Technical Committee (or LSTC in short) since 2000. The LSTC is one of the 9 Technical Committees set up by the IT Standards Committee of Singapore (ITSC - www.itsc.org,sg) .

The purpose of this eLearning Seminar 2004 is to inform the eLearning community on what the LSTC have done over the last year and also to share with the community on some of the trends and new developments in eLearning.

For this annual seminar, members of the LSTC are proud to share with the eLearning community in Singapore on the proposed Singapore Standard on Learner Profile. We will show how Learner Profiles can be implemented in an organization. We will also introduce the technical guidelines on competencies for eLearning practitioners. We hope that these technical guidelines will be useful to the eLearning industry. In the area of trends and new developments, we want to share with the community on what the new SCORM 2004 is all about and how learning paths are now incorporated into SCORM 2004 specifications. We will provide demonstrations wherever necessary. For example, there will be a demonstration on the use of the Sample Run-Time Environment and some sample SCORM 2004-compliant content.
