Invitation to the 29th Chief Information Officer Workshop

28 June, Singapore
29 June – 1 July, Tokyo, Japan

Dear ITMA Members,

I am delighted to invite you to the 29th CIO Workshop jointly organized by Accenture and the Information Technology Management Association (ITMA).

About the 29th CIO Workshop

Long regarded as the de-facto annual IT conference, the CIO Workshop brings together CIOs, CTOs and top IT leaders from both the public and private sectors across different industries to discuss the most pressing topics affecting businesses and technology today and in the future.

In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Singapore-Japan Diplomatic Relations, this year's event will be held in Singapore and Tokyo.

SINGAPORE

The workshop will kick off with a ¾-day session in Singapore on June 28. In line with the Infocomm Media 2025, which sets out to create a globally competitive infocomm media ecosystem that enables and complements Singapore's Smart Nation vision, this year's event will focus on how robotics can increase efficiency and productivity for companies. In addition, CIOs will also learn how to enhance their cyber-security capabilities to ensure the companies' defence capabilities across all disciplines.

There will also be an ideation design thinking segment introduced to the Singapore-leg workshop this year. "Design Thinking for CIOs" will be led and moderated by Fjord, a London-based global service design consultancy that specialises in creating wide-ranging digital experiences and services for consumers. In today's evolving digital landscape and competition for customer loyalty, CIOs will understand the importance of relevant customer experiences powered by scalable, industrialized marketing technology and operations.

Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis!

TOKYO

In Tokyo, Robotics and cyber-security are still an integral part of the learning experience. Delegates will get to interact with the world's first humanoid robot, Pepper the robot – powered by Watson – and learn more about cognitive and neuromorphic technologies at IBM Research Centre.

They will also visit Fanuc, one of the largest makers of industrial robots globally located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Delegates will get a behind-the-scene peek into Fanuc's campus and tour its factories to learn about the manufacturing life-cycle of robots. Cyber-security capabilities will also be at the forefront as delegates learn more about facial recognition technology at the NEC Innovation World , amid other cutting-edge technology featured in smart cities.

Delegates will also get an opportunity to network with like-minded IT leaders within the industry at the Japan Users Association of Information Systems (JUAS) headquarters in Tokyo.

Prof, Raffaello D'Andrea, Professor of Dynamic Systems and Control at ETH Zurich, Founder Verity Studios, Co-Founder Kiva Systems
