| Dear ITMA Member,
“Catering to Different Users with Different Security Requirements – the MTCS way” Cloud security has always been and still is the topmost concern in cloud adoption. This impediment to cloud adoption is evident in many of the surveys conducted. Do you know what are the security provisions offered by your cloud service providers (CSPs)? How could you be assured that your data and system running in the cloud is well protected? To address this concern, IDA together with IT Standards Committee and industry developed the Multi-Tier Cloud Security standards and launched in Nov 2013. Dubbed the Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standards for Singapore (MTCS SS584:2013), the new national standard is aimed at providing businesses with greater clarity on the levels of security offered by different CSPs. To-date, some 10 CSPs have since been MTCS certified including major players like AWS and Microsoft.
